Accessibility

Business Friendly, Inc.  ·  Last Updated: September 27, 2026

This page says what we aim for, how we build, and how to reach us if something on BusinessFriendly.ai blocks you. We would rather hear about a barrier than have you work around it.

The standard we build to

We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is part of how pages are designed and reviewed here, not a pass made at the end.

Why this matters here in particular

Our customers are local governments, and the reports this product generates end up in council and board packets. Many of those bodies are themselves required to make public documents accessible. A report you cannot read is a problem for the community that bought it, not only for us.

What we build to

Accessibility is part of how we build, not a later pass. In practice that means keyboard operation of the survey, dashboard and report; real HTML tables rather than pictures of tables; text alternatives for charts; layouts that reflow when text is enlarged; pages that work at phone width; and printed output that carries the same information as the screen.

We test as we go and fix what we find. Where a customer or a member of the public tells us something does not work for them, we treat that as the most reliable signal we get and act on it.

Telling us about a barrier

Email consulting@businessfriendly.ai. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what you use — a browser, a screen reader, a magnifier, keyboard only. You do not need to know the technical term for the problem.

We aim to reply within five business days. If something blocks you from completing a survey you were invited to, say so and we will get you another way to respond rather than leaving you to wait for a fix.

If you are a customer publishing our report

The report's data tables and the chart's text alternative are part of the printable output, so a packet built from our export carries them. If your body has a specific accessibility standard it must meet for published documents, tell us what it is — we would rather know what you are held to than guess.

This statement is reviewed when the product changes in a way that affects it, and at least every six months. See also our Security & Trust and Privacy Policy pages.
